The Crater Lake Camp is built on the shores of green volcanic like in the bottom of an old volcanic crater. The Crater is 87 hectares in extent and the lake takes up 14 hectares of this area. The camp comprises eight double tents, and two permanent family bandas, all of which have bathrooms attached with hot and cold showers, toilets and changing rooms. There is also a Honeymoon suite which has a large bush pole bed and double Jacuzzi bath. All rooms look out over the lake, which for most of the year has Flamingos present. There is a fully stocked bar, dining room, verandah and a small conference banda. The camp has Sky television, and has full communications both telephone and email. At night the Hippo come our of the main Naivasha lake to graze, and it is possible to see Aardvark and Spring hares on night game drives.
