  • The Lodge

Leopard Rock Lodge introduces its guests to all the customs, wildlife and dramatic beauty that this part of Africa has to offer. Located in Meru National Park it’s a secluded place, unfenced and wild, where George and Joy Adamson set their camp when they stumbled upon Elsa the baby lioness, made famous by their biographical book and film “Born Free”.

Fifteen luxury cottages are beautifully decorated with king size beds, precious linen and Persian carpets. All cottages boast en-suite bathrooms and large outdoor terraces facing the Murera river. Five cottages feature double en-suite bedrooms turning them into the ideal setting for families.

Leopard Rock Lodge is renowned for its excellent cuisine. Dinner is an experience with tables set with china, silverware and cut crystal and a six course dinner is served by waiters in classic costume. An excellent wine cellar is also available.

Elephant, leopard, rhino and lion roam free – at ease in a protected, natural environment. Activities on offer include game drives accompanied by expert local guides, nature walks, fishing or just relax and sip a cocktail at the fabulous Oasis swimming pool and feel the excitement of watching the crocodiles through a glass partition underneath!
