Ngong House is a unique experience. Although you will be staying in 'treehouses' you will enjoy a very high degree of luxury. Four poster beds, crisp linen and exquisite, gourmet food are just the beginning. The evenings start with sundowners on your verandah at tree level, from where you can watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Ngongs Hills. Nature lovers can enjoy a large variety of birds feeding from the birdfeeder hanging in front of each treehouse. After sunset, before dinner, drinks will continue with the other guests around the camp fire under an acacia tree nearby the swimming pool.

Ngong House is ideally situated to visit many of Kenya's best attractions: Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, wonderful golf courses and the exciting market in down town Nairobi, etc. The four wheel drive vehicles will take you there. Nature walks are a must, especially to visit the Giraffe Center (home of the endangered Rothchild Giraffe), a twenty minute walk from Ngong House..

Built entirely from wood the treehouses are on two levels with a bedroom area upstairs and a living area on the lower floor. They are raised 15 ft from the ground to gain an uninterrupted view of the Ngong Hills over unspoiled bush. They have grass roofs made in the traditional African way. They are designed with extreme comfort in mind, yet the interiors have a decidedly rustic feel. The talents of regional artists and artisans add many of the finishing touches, such as hand woven rugs, bedcovers, lamps and stained glass. Large four poster beds grace the upper-level bedroom area, promising a luxurious nights sleep. On the lower level there is a comfortable sitting area and a dining table enabling honeymooners to be served a four course ,candle lit dinner in the intimacy of their tree house. Each treehouse represents the ultimate in exclusive accommodation. Decorated with beautiful paintings and objects d'art, the sitting room is centered around a fireplace with comfortable sofas and chairs in which to relax. There is also an intimate dining area, and a fully stocked bar, all entirely at your disposal. At the back of the house is a spacious bathroom with a shower and twin sinks. The front of the treehouse is given over to glass and a verandah. Here you can eat, sleep, sunbathe or just enjoy the view.

Ngong House has a reputation of serving refined food prepared with local ingredients - game meat, fresh lake fish, seafood flown in from the Indian Ocean, all prepared with a large variety of fresh vegetables, in tasty yet healthy way. The Kenyan chefs have been specially trained by several visiting chefs from Belgium. For those who prefer, they have a selection of vegetarian dishes. A pastry chef from Bruges (Belgium) spent a season with them a few years ago. Lunch is served in the garden under one of the many indigenous trees. Dinner is served in a half open thatched rondavel with a huge fireplace and plenty of candles, creating this unique dinner atmosphere only found at Ngong House.
