Older than the London Ritz, younger than The Savoy, no other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history as the Norfolk, one of the world's most romantic hotels. When it was first opened on Christmas Day, 1904, it was to spearhead traditions of hospitality in East Africa which are still unmatched today. Th e No rfolk comprises 107 twin, 60 doubled bedded rooms and 81 standard rooms, 22 Suites, 55 Deluxe, and 9 Executive and deluxe suites. All bedrooms have a private bathroom with shower and bath, mini-bar, satellite television and radio, direct dial telephone and air conditioning.
The Norfolk offers five gourmet menus and three bars including: The Ibis Restaurant - The Lord Delamere Restaurant - The Lord Delamere Terrace (the ideal meeting place and where most people gather) - The Poolside Restaurant - The Hibiscus Lounge & Cocktail Bar.
