Ol Donyo Wuas in Maasai means “The Spotted Hills”, and is the name given by the Maasai to the Chyulu Range which runs halfway between Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks. Ol Donyo Wuas is situated on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills, with exclusive access to a quarter of a million acres of one of the few remaining wilderness areas of East Africa. The open plains, rolling Chyulu Hills and snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro invoke images of Africa as it was in the earlier part of the last century; abundant game and Masai herdsmen living as nature determined they should in this unspoilt corner of Kenya.

The lodge consists of eight individual cottages, built from local materials. All cottages have en-suite bathrooms, solar lighting and a veranda with panoramic views of the plains and Mount Kilimanjaro. Three of the cottages have an additional bedroom for guests travelling with children. The Lodge has a beautiful, centrally positioned dining room and a horizon swimming pool looking out to Mount Kilimanjaro.

A friendly crew is there to organise the daily activities, to ensure everything runs smoothly, and to provide high standards of cuisine and personal service. Ol Donyo Wuas provides ample opportunities for cultural interaction, horse riding, game drives in open Land Rovers with knowledgeable guides (both during the day and at night) and walking in the Chyulu Hills.
