Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park
We pick you from your Nairobi City Hotel and drive along the spectacular Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park to see the rhinos and flamingos. Your first view of a rhino is special indeed. These prehistoric giants are one of the world’s most endangered species. They can grow to 4 metres long (13 feet), 2 metres high (6.5 feet) and weigh up to five tons. One of the best places to see them in Kenya is Lake Nakuru National Park, a rhino-sanctuary. There’s lion, leopard and lots of smaller game too. Nakuru is also famous for it’s flamingos. Enormous flocks congregate here turning the entire lakeshore pink. When they gather to feed in the shallow waters it’s a memorable sight. After lunch enjoy a game drive in the park.
