The Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club is a cluster of impressive Victorian style buildings with 130 deluxe rooms comprising twins, doubles, studio suites and cottages. The Library Bar on the lobby level serves drinks in a luxurious and serene setting from 4.00 pm to the last guest. The Kingfisher Bar overlooking the hotel’s crystal blue swimming pool offers a wide variety of cocktails from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm. and the Club Bar with its hardwood interior and its tall vaulted ceilings offers a cool and relaxing venue for drinks and cocktails after a challenging round of golf. It is open to all golfing and social members from 10.00 am to 1.00 am. It is the welcoming retreat for the victor and vanquished. The Windsor also offers one of – if not the – best 18 hole championship golf courses in Kenya where the Sykes monkeys offer an unusual “hazard”. Designed by Tom Macauley, the golf course threads its way through coffee farms and a tropical indigenous forest with lush spring fairways, fast, true greens and a sprinkling of water hazards with well located 73 sand bunkers. Sports lovers and health conscious individuals will enjoy also the three floodlit tennis and squash courts, swimming pool, 2km, 3km and 5km jogging tracks through the lush forest. The qualified and friendly instructors are always on hand to offer training to clients. The fully equipped gym, steam room and beauty parlor offer clients a place to refresh and relax. The resort also has a shopping arcade with a large variety of products including golf equipment and sporting wear. |
